Like most website operators, DesignMag collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. DesignMag's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how DesignMag's visitors use its website. From time to time, DesignMag may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

DesignMag also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on WordPress.com blogs. DesignMag only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

DesignMag recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by users of our web site, recipients of our e-mail newsletter, participants of our events and all of our customers. we created this policy with a fundamental respect for our users' right to privacy and to guide our relationships with our users.

Signing up: to be able to post articles, or to receive our newsletters, users must first register. Recipients of our newsletter can unsubscribe using the instructions listed at the end of the e-mail newsletter. For our services that require payment, we do not receive and do not collect credit card information.

During registration: We ask for contact information. While newsletter subscribers are required to give only their e-mail address, people who wish to post articles are asked to give also their name, age, gender and mailing address along with many other details to help us determine that the person who is posting the articles is legit. In addition, this provided information could be partially or fully visible through the profile of the editor.

Through analytics services and through our crm, DesignMag collects information from our website users, subscribers and customers for internal purposes. This information is used to communicate with users and provide requested services. This website uses cookies, to enable functions that require login, however we do not track the visitors with these cookies. DesignMag may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, DesignMag may monitor the most popular blogs on the WordPress.com site or use spam screened by the Akismet service to help identify spam. DesignMag may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, DesignMag does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Contact us: We have features where users can submit information to us. Letters to the editor and similar submissions may be made public.

Sharing your information: We have co-branded and joined with other parties to provide additional dissemination services for articles, such as the IDNN or DXGN news networks. Your personal information is not shared, however the articles you provided or write for us are shared with the services.

Information Security: We use reasonable precautions to protect our users' personal information (such as storing only the hash of passwords with a unique seed to stop hash table attackts etc), and we use respected and secure servers to store your information securely in a database through our solution and hosting providers.
